If your outdoor area lacks some furniture, we are here to make sure that the outdoor furniture you choose works for you, the space and lasts the distance.

We have plenty of options and with new stock arriving in store over the next few weeks.

To help you work out what you need here are some key things to think about before you buy :

How do you want to use the space? With so many outdoor options from hanging chairs and beans bags, to all weather dining and lounge suites, knowing how you want to use the space will help guide you towards the furniture you will get the most use from.

How much space do you have? Once you know what type of outdoor furniture you want, making sure it will fit the space you have is the next step. Furniture that is too big can dwarf the space and make it hard to move around. If you buy furniture that is too small or hasn’t got enough seating it will limit the occasions you can comfortably use the space.

What Style of furniture? Matching the furniture to the style of the house and garden will help enhance the indoor/outdoor flow. If you have a modern minimalist home then your outdoor furniture choice should reflect that.

What materials should you look for? Outdoor furniture comes in a range of materials, some are more hardwearing than others. These days a lot of rattan style furniture is made with a poly resin that means it can stay outside year round. Some woods can be left to age gracefully outside while others will need yearly maintenance/oiling.

It is also worth checking out any metal framework of your furniture, some may not be rust resistant or be so heavy that moving your it around requires a working bee!

Whatever it is made from, it must be comfortable and the only way to be sure of that is to test it out in person. Don’t be shy when you go it to store and take your time testing out your options.

Accessorize? Adding a pop of colour and texture through accessories like a shade umbrella or extra cushions can help add that personal touch to your outdoor setting and help to match it to its surroundings.

Do you have storage space for your furniture? Most outdoor furniture is made to be left outside but this can shorten its life especially cushions, beanbags and umbrellas. Consider what space you have available for storage of the more vulnerable items. Some outdoor furniture comes with well-fitting weatherproof covers which will extend the life of your fabulous new furniture and limit what needs to be stored.

Come and see us and we’ll guide you through all the options and help you walk away with something that you can enjoy for years to come.
